house styles: a trainwreck of lables

Here we are in the 21 century, and as civilizations evolve, the number of house styles just keeps growing and growing and growing so more!   To make matters more complex, the variation of style grow and grow as well. Take the “Bungalow” for example.  The name of this style originated in India.  These dwellings were small, one-story single-family units (houses) with thatched roofs and wide verandas. The Bungalow was simply a term that separated a house from an apartment building.  Today we see Bungalows all around the world in many variations from small to large.  For example, we have the “American Ranch Bungalow”, “Raised Bungalow”, “Chalet Bungalow”, “American Craftsman Bungalow”, “California Bungalow”, “Ultimate Bungalow”, “Chicago Bungalow”, “Milwaukee Bungalow”, “Australian Bungalow”, “Canadian Bungalow” and even the “Irish Bungalow”.  Now that’s a lot of Bungalows!
