The Eagle Creek Chocolate House is a Custom Home located in Eagle Creek, Oregon that just received its LEED for Homes Platinum Certification, which is the highest level of sustainability in the program. The house received its name in honor of the homeowner’s love of dark chocolate and passion for sustainable living. The New-century custom home designed by Paolo takes on a clean-line Tuscan style adapted to Northwest living – endless pool included!

Paolo’s design for the 2011 Smart Home for the Spring Portland Home & Garden show this month starts to come to life. The Smart Home will incorporate panelized construction to pre-build much of the structure and interior components that will eventually go together much like a puzzle during the build-out at the Expo Center. The team will have approximately 48 – 60 hours starting midnight the night of Sunday, February 20, 2011 to build the feature from start to finish. The panelized construction will also make the re-use of the feature more feasible. Stay tuned to learn the” afterlife” of the 2011 Smart Home. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Coming to a television near you…! Designer Paolo along with other remodeling professionals were selected for a TV commercial for the Portland Spring Home & Garden Show. The 2011 Smart Home is where sustainability, design innovation, and quality construction come together.
