A family with Peruvian roots dreamed of sharing the warmth of their heritage by opening an authentic restaurant in Oregon. Integrating these rich influences into a landmark building in the heart of Portland's Pearl district became the central challenge. Designer Paolo of Paolo Design Group works with Andina Restaurant to make the most of an unassuming second floor warehouse. The interior is stripped back to its humble structure. Century-old wood flooring, native Peruvian color, Spanish references, intriguing geometrics and cultural treasures are then added to create this marketplace of dining and culture.
