Chocolate at its finest...! The Eagle Creek Chocolate House is a sustainable Custom Home located in Eagle Creek, Oregon and received its LEED for Homes Platinum certification in June 2011. The house received its name in honor of the homeowner's love of dark chocolate and passion for sustainable living. The New-century dwelling designed by Paolo takes on a clean-line Tuscan style adapted to Northwest living. In keeping with LEED standards, it features sustainable elements including passive solar orientation, ground source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, a Faswall ICF envelope, and radiant heated floors. A therapeutic endless pool that acts as a heat sink is seen from the great room. A masonry heater provides additional heat source as well as baking oven perfect for making homemade bread and pizza. The exterior pergola and interior great room ceiling are milled onsite from "Big Bob," an existing tree removed during construction to make way for the new house.
