What is the Paolo Design Process?

Here is our 5 Step Design Process:

1. Pre-Design:  In this phase we establish your project goals and gather valuable information that becomes the foundation of the design and the measurement for success.  The phase also includes, site evaluation, and needs assessment and master planning.  Our free design consultation is the beginning of this stage.

2. Conceptual Design:  In this phase, goals are translated into feasible options.  They include space planning, 3-D rendering, furniture planning, and furnishings consultation.

3. Design Development:  In this phase we refine the design and carry the concepts to the finest level of detail and intent.  It is during this stage that the homeowners have the most fun.  The stage includes cabinetry design, lighting designs, materials and finish selection, plumbing and appliance selection, hardware selections, and building materials.

4. Construction Documents for Permit and Bidding:  This phase culminates in construction drawings, specifications, pricing documents, permit documents, and third party coordination documents.  The homeowners usually have very little involvement, if any, during this production stage.  Once the documents are ready, we distribute the final version to the owner and contractor for use in obtaining bids, permit, and for construction.

5. Construction Compliance:  This service is performed during the construction phase.  We are available to the owner and contactor throughout the entire construction phase to answer questions and make sure that the design intent is preserved.

Does Paolo Design Group provide interior design or building design or both?

We provide both types of services in house to streamline the process, prevent miscommunication and avoid double charges.  Most importantly, you end up with an integrated design that makes as much sense for the outside in as it does from the inside out.  This combination of services is available for custom homes, whole house remodels, and additions. 

How does Paolo Design Group help me stay within my budget?
