A family moving from Israel purchased a recently "remodeled" home in the Kings Heights area of Northwest Portland. Although the finishes and layout were new, the house lacked the flow and quality it needed to live up to its full potential. That is when the owners decided to call designer Paolo to orchestrate their "remodel of a remodel" to achieve a new Kitchen Remodel and Master Bath Addition.
The first order of business was to gut the lower level master suite, and rebuild from the floor boards up. A small addition was constructed for a new master bath tub and shower, and interior frosted-glass windows were added to draw natural light into a luxurious walk-in closet, once a dark wasted space. Because one of our clients was a gourmet cook and professional wine maker, special attention was given to the kitchen, creating a space practical for cooking, yet ideal for entertaining. A new wine cellar was also added to the basement, reclaiming a mechanical area. In addition to the kitchen and master design, an upstairs bedroom wing and bath were modified to draw uniformity to the new design elements below.
