Powder Bath Remodel - Award Winner!

Two homeowners in Lake Oswego purchased their home several years ago with the intent to transform the lack-luster look of their home to accommodate their collection of artwork and lifelong treasures.  Starting with a Powder Bath Remodel, the homeowners selected designer Paolo to set a new vocabulary to their house as they master plan the different rooms to remodel. The vocabulary translates into clean lines, neutral colors, and minimal ornamentation to allow the homeowners' treasures to stand out.  After a stroll through Bullseye Gallery in the Pearl, two art pieces in particular catches the eye of the homeowners to bring into the new design.  The exquisite pieces of custom glass from local artists Galia Amsel (the green work) and Steve Klein (the black & white work) become the focal point and voilà, like magic the powder bath turns into an art gallery.  The powder bath serves more than allowing guests to powder their noses; the new bath is truly a piece of art unto itself.

This project won an Excellence 2009 Award by the Home Builder's Association of Metropolitan Portland, for the category of a Residential Bath Design. The project also won a 2010 Northwest Design Award, second place, in the Bathroom category.
