The "hands on" approach to the design and construction process of this 1973 Whole House Remodel and Addition in SW Portland results in a dwelling that many have deemed "calming and peaceful." Landscaped concrete pathways lead to the new front entrance that maximizes views and connectedness to the outdoors. The floating staircase beautifully connects the two main levels. The open floor plan, natural light, and use of wood adds to the serenity that one experiences once inside. Cantilevered decks in the backyard hover over the green space that Mother Nature herself created.
This project won an Excellence 2010 Award by the Home Builder's Association of Metropolitan Portland, for the category of a Residential Whole House Design.
